We are ONOMA Architecture
Rooted in the ancient Greek word onoma, meaning “name,” our philosophy embraces the belief that a name carries meaning, memory, and identity. In the same way, we approach each home as a deeply personal reflection of its inhabitants—designed with intention, shaped by your story, and grounded in a sense of place.
We are a boutique design studio committed to creating thoughtful, well-crafted spaces that reflect the unique identities of our clients and the character of their environments. Our work is rooted in the belief that architecture is most powerful when it emerges from meaningful collaboration and a deep understanding of place.
01
We begin with you. Our design process is intentionally client-driven and highly collaborative. We believe that the best architecture arises from a shared vision—one shaped by the dialogue between clients, designers, and builders. As a boutique studio, our size allows us to remain agile and deeply engaged, offering a personalized experience that is responsive to each project’s specific goals and aspirations.
We cultivate an environment of collective curiosity, where ideas are explored openly and partnerships are built strategically. These relationships—both internal and external—form the foundation of our most successful work, enabling us to leverage diverse expertise and deliver projects of exceptional quality and integrity.
02
At ONOMA Architecture, we merge the tradition of craft with the precision of modern technology. Our work is grounded in material sensitivity and intentional design, while embracing innovative methods that improve efficiency and reduce environmental impact.
In remote settings, we’ve developed Remote Craft—a system that uses a curated kit of prefabricated components to streamline construction, minimize waste, and lower the carbon footprint. This approach enables us to deliver custom, high-quality homes with fewer on-site demands and greater sustainability.
Through advanced in-house digital tools, we model and coordinate every element with precision, ensuring seamless fabrication and efficient assembly. The result is architecture that is expressive, enduring, and deeply responsive to place.
03
We believe that architecture should be in dialogue with its surroundings. Our projects are purposefully embedded within the natural environment, designed to both complement and reveal the essence of place. Through the careful use of light, material, and form, we create spaces that are grounded, expressive, and deeply connected to their context.
This relationship with nature is not only aesthetic but also ecological. We prioritize sustainable practices and design strategies that reduce environmental impact while enhancing the lived experience. Our work seeks to balance permanence with adaptability, restraint with celebration.
BRYAN PENDZ, Principal Architect / Owner
Approaching architecture as a dialogue—between craft and technology, land and structure, story and form. With a background rooted in custom residential design, he leads ONOMA Architecture with a belief that buildings should not only endure, but resonate.
His work draws from a deep respect for material honesty and the rhythms of place. Each project is an exploration of identity—shaped by the people who inhabit it and the landscapes it inhabits. Bryan’s process is immersive and intuitive, guided by listening: to clients, to context, to the quiet cues that shape meaningful design.
At ONOMA, he has cultivated a practice that merges precision with poetry, where sustainability is not an add-on, but a foundation. Through Remote Craft and other innovations, Bryan continues to evolve how architecture is made—without losing sight of why it’s made.
